This training course has been designed and developed to take a Technician or Electrician through the technical requirements that are needed to install IP enabled devices onto an IP Network or ADSL Circuit.  The course content is developed to help a technician understand the concept of Network Terminology.

Introduction

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required for entry-level installations and testing for internet protocol (IP) based telecommunications networking, using convergent technologies to deliver services of Next Generation Networks (NGN).

  •     Gather information to prepare for installation of IP device
  •      Prepare for installation of IP device
  •      Configure and test IP device
  •      Complete and document network installation
  •      Test wireless link

Targeted Audience

Technicians requiring specific cabling types to add to their ACMA card.
